Interdisciplinary Fellowship
The Institute of Human Values in Health Care is now accepting applications for its Interdisciplinary Fellowship. During the last five years the Institute has invited 12 visiting fellows from across the United Sates and abroad to come to Charleston and gain clinical experience in the area of ethics and health policy.  The deadline to apply is September 15.

Public Policy Map
The debate over the legal, ethical and medical questions at the end of life is calling attention to the health care system's inadequate care of the dying and promoting new efforts to extend good palliative care to everyone who is terminally ill.

As part of its research initiatives, the Institute conducted a statewide survey on policies that affect proper pain management, especially at the end of life.
