In addition to providing interdisciplinary exchange between the participants,
fellows actively participate in academic programs as instructors and researchers.
Listed below are just  few of the exciting programs fellows can participate in
during the program.

Emergency Services
The Emergency Services Department at MUSC offers a wide range of emergency
treatment as well as specialized care for trauma and chest pain patients.  MUSC
is the designated Level 1 Trauma Center in Charleston.  This is the highest level
designation by the American College of Surgeons.  The trauma program is
supported by the MEDUCARE Emergency Transport Service, which is available
around the clock for referred patients who need immediate medical intervention
as a result of severe, life-threatening or potentially disabling conditions.
